The course covers the basics of various beauty services. On completion of the training in cosmetology, an aspirant can enter work as a beautician in any beauty saloon or start up their own saloon and help people look beautiful. Cosmetology has always been a good career option to people, who have got a sound aesthetic sense. Beauty Cosmetology course syllabus is designed from a perspective of a beginner and covers the basics such as threading, facial stokes, skin anatomy, waxing, and more.

NAME OF THE ADD ON COURSE: HOW TO WRITE A RESEARCH PAPER AND PROJECT REPORT
Overview of the Course Purpose/ Description: Provides an introduction to the subject matter and explains course content and learning goals.
This class is designed to provide students with the tools, information and perspectives necessary to be successful students and future researchers. Students should leave the class as better overall critical readers, researchers and writers. There are three major components to the course. First, we discuss particular ethical considerations and research and writing trends in Research Studies and related disciplines. Second, we focus on research methods, with the aim of learning how to be more efficient, comprehensive and focused researchers. Finally, we work on strategies for becoming stronger writers.
Throughout the year students receive on-going supervision from an academic staff through campus or college based group workshops. The research project culminates with students synthesizing the findings of their research in a written form such as a conference paper, journal article or report. They are also expected to report findings to their college community.
Primary Learning Course Objectives: Students should learn the course being able to:

Explain how to conduct research in an ethical and legal way.

Plan and organize an original research paper and project report.

Locate and use relevant secondary sources, archival materials, government documents, legal materials, oral interviews, internet material and other sources to complete a research project.

Process, organize and think critically about their sources.

Write original hypothesis and thesis statements.

Organize a paper to support a thesis statement.

Understand what constitutes plagiarism and how to use proper citation styles.
Learning Course Outcomes: On completion of this subject, students should be able to:

Carry out a substantial research-based project.

Assessment: Preliminary Report (2,000 words) due end on-going Semester, 20% Research Project (6,000 words) due end of course semester, 80% Hurdle – Oral presentation of the report to relevant members the college community Attendance at all classes (tutorial/seminars/ lectures/online classes) is obligatory. Failure to attend 75% of classes will normally result in failure in the subject.
