Entrepreneurship Policy

Sree Sankara College has a policy to adapt to progressive changes happening in the areas of education, innovations, research and development, etc. Keeping up to the changing demands of employability sector, the college takes important initiatives to equip its students to face the emerging challenges. To this end, college has formulated an Entrepreneurship policy to foster programmes which can enhance the entrepreneurship skills of students and to get them familiarised with the Start-Up support systems, etc.

Sree Sankara College Entrepreneurship Development Club, established in 2021 towards this objective, is aimed at fostering an entrepreneurial mind - set in the students and provide them the skills, confidence, and know-how of being an entrepreneur. ED club provides a platform for realizing business opportunities by arranging industrial visits, business awareness classes, and practical sessions on skill development training, interaction with entrepreneurs and the like.

The following are the objectives of the Entrepreneurship Development club:

To foster synergy between academia and industry to fuel innovation and entrepreneurial spirit among students to help them to be self-reliant and contribute to nation building.
To develop an indigenous innovative Entrepreneurial Ecosystem that will lead to sustainable start-ups which will be capable of addressing societal needs.
To nurture aspiring entrepreneurial minds to transform innovative ideas into feasible commercial entities
To provide a platform to engage in innovation and start-up activities like trainings, conferences, workshops, seminars and competitions
To promote business aligned with the locality’s unique areas of opportunity
Identify opportunities for marketing activities and organize trade fairs
To promote materials in tune with green protocol
