World Space Week 2017. Smt. Anuradha S. Prakasha, ISRO Bangalore



  In connection with the World Space Week 2017, the department of Physics at Sree Sankara College in association with the Science Club, conducted an invited talk on “Earth Space and Beyond” by Smt. Anuradha S. Prakasha, Senior Scientist, ISRO Satellite Centre, Bangalore. The talk was held at the Chandrashekara Bharathi Theertha Seminar Hall at 10:30 am on 19.10.2017.  Smt. Anuradha elaborated on the history of Space Technology in India, the pioneers behind it, the various types of satellites, payloads, launching processes, challenges involved in such missions, etc. She brought to the notice of audience, the victory of India in Space Technology via the successful missions of Chandrayaan, Mangalyaan, etc. and also a glimpse onto the future programmes on the anvil. The talk was well received by teachers as well as students from various disciplines.
