Dakshina- Alumnus Talk



The Post Graduate Department and Research Centre in Economics, Sree Sankara college Kalady in association with Anti-sexual Harassment Cell, organized a talk on “ Gender Identity & Gender Expression: Defining The Difference “as  a Dakshina Series academic Event by Sree Sankara College Alumni with the support of  SMART Scheme IQAC Sree Sankara College , Kalady  on Monday 27th   March 2023. The programme was inaugurated by Dr Preethi Nair, Principal, Sree Sankara College, Kalady.The IQAC member Smt Gowri S Antherjanam, Assistant Professor from Department of Commerce, offered felicitations for the programme. Dr P Geetha, Associate Professor, HOD of Economics made the welcome address and Dr Anumol K A, Assistant Professor, Department of Economics, proposed the vote of thanks. The class was taken by Mrs Daya Gayathri, Artist and Model. The main objective of the talk is to provide awareness about gender equality because Gender has a critical role in determining the power, privilege, and opportunities that certain people have and others do not in a particular society. It has an impact on progress toward equality and the elimination of discrimination.
