TALK ON “ ELECTRICITY -PRESENT AND FUTURE”



An expert interaction on “ELECTRICITY -PRESENT AND FUTURE” was organized for students on 12th February 2022 in Microsoft Teams app by Shri Syamaprasad, Chief Inspectorate, Inspectorate Kerala State, Miss Geethumol, faculty of B.Voc Renewable Energy Management welcomed the session. Shri Syamaprasad discussed the importance of electricity.He also mentioned the career opportunities in that field. All students were well impressed by the topic and cleared many doubts. Neethu Lakshmi faculty department of renewable energy management gave a vote of thanks and concluded the session. Excerpts from the session ● What is Electricity ● Applications of electricity ● Present scenario on electricity ● Future about electricity ● Emerging technologies in electricity ● Job opportunities on Renewable energy About the Speaker: Shri K S Syamaprasad graduated with a B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from TKM College of Engineering, Kollam in 1973.He Joined as Assistant Electrical inspector in the Department of Electrical Inspectorate in the year 1976. Electrical Inspectorate is a govt department for the implementation of Standards and thereby assuring safety to the public. He had 32 years of service in the Dept and served various posts- as Asst. Electrical Inspector, Deputy Electrical Inspector and retired as Deputy Chief Electrical Inspector. He is a holder of All Electrical ,Supervisory License from the department of Electrical Inspectorate Licensing board . He currently serves as a consultant and supervisor for Blue Star India Ltd.Presently he is the consultant engineer for electrical works at Lulu mall Kozhikode, Lulu hypermarket at Kundannoor, and Sand Infra IT (at Smart City, Kakkanad) . He is also taking classes for Electrical Supervisor License A.
