National Mathematics Day Celebration



National Mathematics Day has been celebrated every year on 22nd December to mark the birth anniversary of legendary Indian Mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan. This year We, dept of Mathematics celebrated National Mathematics day by conducting a puzzle-solving competition for students with the help of the SMART scheme. The competition started at room no T17 at 10.00 am . Students from various departments (Physics, Chemistry, Statistics, and English) have participated. Out of 43 students, Lakshmi Anilkumar of DC 2 Chemistry won first prize. Ajith P M of DC 3 English got second prize. Alen Pauly of DC1 Chemistry and Reeja Mary Paul of DC 1 Maths secured third prize. Smt. Uma Maheswari P B was the convener of the program. Cash awards for winners will be distributed at the inaugural ceremony of the Mathematics Association.
