Add on Course Inaguration



Department of Mathematics, Sree Sankara College, Kalady offered ‘VEDIC MATHEMATICS’ as an add-on course in the 2022 – 23 academic year in association with Cosmic Maths Foundation. The duration of this course is 30 hrs. The study of Vedic Mathematics helps to develop analytical thinking and quantitative skills and provides insight into Indian knowledge system. It is very useful for competitive exams also. The Inauguration of this course was done on 05/11/2022 by Prof. V P N Nampoori at 9.30 am in room No. T 17. The meeting started with a prayer by Sudev of Dc 1 Maths and a welcome speech by Smt.Essy C Cherian, HOD, Dept of Mathematics. Nampoori sir inaugurated the session by lighting the lamp and he shared the importance of mathematical thinking and how Indians were using it. He gave insight to some sutras to solve math calculations in a faster and easy way. Sri. P Devaraj, Director, of Cosmic Maths Foundation, explained the relation between Vedic Mathematics and Sanskrit. The program ended by a vote of thanks by Smt. Vishma A R, Guest Lecturer, Dept of Mathematics
