National Seminar - RACS 2017



The Postgraduate Department of Chemistry, Sree Sankara College Kalady, organized a National Seminar entitled “Recent Advances in Chemical Sciences (RACS – 2017)” on 13 and 14 December 2017. The formal inauguration of RACS – 2017 was done by the guest of honour Prof. Dr. Muhammed Afzal Pasha (HoD of Organic Chemistry, Bangalore University) by lighting the traditional lamp. The honourable Managing Director of the college Mr. K. Anand presided over the inaugural session.In the brief inaugural address Dr. Pasha, stressed the need and relevance of Green Chemistry – the main theme of the seminar – in today’s world. The college principal Dr. K. A. Ajith Kumar and Head of the Department of Chemistry, Mrs. R. Lekha rendered felicitations and the inaugural session concluded with the vote of thanks by the programme coordinator Mrs. Seena K. Thomas. Best oral presntation awarded to Smt. Nithya Mohan, Research Scholar, CUSAT. Best poster presentation awarded to Dr. Sunitha Tresa George, Asst. Prof, St. Paul's College, Kalamasssery.
