Film Club
The Film Club of Sree Sankara College, a forum of film enthusiasts was inaugurated on 18/01/2019 with a talk by famous film critic and academician Dr. T Muralidharan.
Objective
- To bring the students into the magical world of movies which will eventually help them to become positive social empathizers and to look at the world beyond insular and parochial views
- To screen award winning and popular movies and to critically discuss them
- To organise technical and critical sessions on movies
- To organise talks, seminars and film festivals for making students understand and appreciate good movies, current trends and diverse factors of cinema
- To touch upon the socio-political, cultural background of movies which are essential in the proper understanding of a movie
- To introduce students to the world of classics so as to help them broaden their horizons of thinking
