Prof. K. P. Babudas Memorial Award Presentation and Vākyārtha Sadas
The Department of Sanskrit, Sree Sankara College, Kalady, is organizing the Prof. K. P. Babudas Memorial Award Presentation and Vākyārtha Sadas on 15 July 2026 at 10.00 a.m. in the Mini Seminar Hall (SF009), Sri Sri Vidhusekhara Bharati Block. The programme is being held in memory of distinguished former faculty member of the Department, Prof. K. P. Babudas whose contributions to Vedānta continue to inspire generations of scholars.
The programme will also commemorate the former faculty member (Late) Prof. M. Radhakrishnan, remembering his distinguished service to the Department of Sanskrit and his enduring contributions to Sanskrit education.
A major highlight of the event is the presentation of the Prof. K. P. Babudas Memorial Vedānta Vidvat Puraskara to Dr. P. R. Vasudevan, Assistant Professor, Department of Vedānta, Calicut Adarsha Sanskrit Vidyapeetham, Balussery, in recognition of his outstanding contributions to Vedānta scholarship. The programme will also feature memorial addresses honouring the legacy of Prof. K. P. Babudas and Prof. M. Radhakrishnan, delivered by eminent academicians and distinguished alumni.
The event will conclude with a Vākyārtha Sadas, a traditional scholarly discourse on Vedānta, chaired by Prof. V. Ramakrishna Bhat, Former Professor of Vedānta, Sree Sankaracharya University of Sanskrit, Kalady. The session will bring together eminent Sanskrit scholars from leading institutions, providing a unique opportunity for academic dialogue rooted in the traditional Indian scholastic method.
