The Department of Biotechnology, Sree Sankara College, Kalady, organized an industrial visit to KRIBS BioNest, KINFRA Hi-Tech Park, Kalamassery, for 19 third-year B.Sc. Biotechnology students as part of the TSC of Bioprocess Technology course.
During the visit, Mr. Sreeram, a bioentrepreneur, conducted an interactive session on industrial fermentation technology, probiotic production, and the applications of different types of fermenters. Students gained insights into fermenter design, process control, sterile conditions, and the importance of fermentation in large-scale industrial production.
The visit provided valuable exposure to industrial bioprocessing practices, bridging theoretical knowledge with practical applications and introducing students to entrepreneurial opportunities in the biotechnology industry.
