The Department of Botany at Sree Sankara College, Kalady, successfully conducted its Association Inauguration and Induction Programme for the academic year 2025-26 on October 10, 2025, at 10:30 AM in the Botany Lab. Supported by the Institution’s Innovation Council, the highlight of the event was an insightful guest lecture titled “A Talk on ‘Microbial Ecology'” delivered by Prof. (Dr.) Mani Varghese K. I., a distinguished alumnus of the college (batch of 1968-71) and retired faculty member from the Department of Botany at Union Christian College, Aluva. The program was organized and executed under the leadership of Principal Prof. (Dr.) Anilkumar M. and Head of the Department Dr. Shintu P.V., with dedicated coordination from Staff Co-ordinator Dr. Rashmi T. R. and Student Co-ordinator Krishna Suresh, successfully welcoming the new batch while fostering academic enrichment in the field of plant and microbial sciences.
