
INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY

The NCC Unit of Sree Sankara College, Kalady, in association with the Department of Physical Education, Department of Sanskrit, and Health & Wellness Club, celebrated International Yoga Day with great enthusiasm to promote the physical, mental, and spiritual benefits of yoga.
The program began with a welcome address, followed by felicitation speeches by Prof. Dr. M. Anilkumar, Physical Education Teacher Sunil K. P., and Sanskrit Department HOD Suvarnani Antharjanam. They highlighted the importance of yoga in fostering discipline, mental well-being, physical fitness, concentration, and resilience among students and NCC cadets.
The highlight of the event was a yoga session led by Yogini T. S. Brinda, a renowned yoga instructor and wellness coach. She guided participants through various asanas, pranayama, and meditation practices aimed at improving flexibility, inner peace, and overall health.
A total of 205 NCC cadets from various educational institutions including Sree Sankara College Kalady, FISAT Angamaly, Brahmanandodayam Higher Secondary School Kalady, NSS Higher Secondary School Manikamangalam, St.Sebastians high school kanjoor, St Thomas school malayatoor, Star jesus hss Karukutty and Marthoma college for women perumbavoor, under the 22(K) Battalion NCC, Eloor, participated in the celebration. The event successfully promoted unity, discipline, and wellness while honoring the global significance of International Yoga Day.
