The Department of Biotechnology, Sree Sankara College, Kalady, organized an educational visit to the State Seed Farm, Okkal, Ernakulam, on 29 September 2025. The visit was undertaken to provide students with practical exposure to seed production, nursery management, and sustainable agricultural practices.
The farm, managed by the Department of Agriculture under the supervision of Ms. Beethi Bipin, Agriculture Officer, serves as an important center for the production and distribution of quality paddy seeds, vegetable seedlings, coconut seedlings, pepper cuttings, and ornamental plants.
