The event aimed to celebrate World Food Safety Day and raise awareness about the importance of safe and nutritious food practices. It consisted of various activities
- Millet-based prepared food contest
- Save Food Share Food inauguration,
- Seminar by scientific experts
- Millet-based food article exhibition and sale.
Participation and Volunteer Engagement:
A total of 30 undergraduate students from the Department of Microbiology actively participated in the Essenmilo event. These students enthusiastically volunteered to assist in organizing and managing various aspects of the event to ensure its smooth execution. Their involvement played a crucial role in making the event a grand success.
The Essenmilo event on World Food Safety Day made a significant impact by promoting safe and nutritious food practices among the attendees. The active participation of the 30 Microbiology students from the UG Department of Microbiology added value to the event’s success.
